Optimal cold exposure is 11 minutes per week spread out over a few sessions and optimal heat exposure is 57 minutes per week also spread out over a few sessions. If you are going to do hot and cold in the same session, the Soberg principle states that you should end with cold. After cold exposure it is important to let the body reheat naturally.
