If there was one thing Charlie Munger stressed more than anything, it was this: to truly grasp how the world works, you need mental models drawn from a wide range of disciplines. Having knowledge from just one or two disciplines leads to a dangerously narrow worldview—the “man with a hammer” syndrome, where every problem starts to look like a nail. By understanding the big ideas across fields you can make better decisions and see reality more clearly.
